CONSOLIDATION OF THE CONTEST

The analytical verification of all the participating cheeses has been carried out by the technical teams of the Instituto Tecnológico Agrario de Castilla y León (ITACYL) on the composition of the milk-producing species, in order to guarantee and offer rigour to the contest. This ensures and certifies that the Cincho Awards establish the quality in the category and composition of the cheeses.

Thanks to the large participation mentioned above, entrants from all the autonomous communities and from twenty countries have been recorded: Andorra, Argentina, Croatia, Ecuador, Spain, United States, France, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and Venezuela. This has also been a milestone in the history of this celebration.

CELEBRATION AND AWARDS CEREMONY

The awards ceremony will take place on September 16 in the great cheese capital, Zamora, coinciding with the celebration of Fromago, a cross-cutting integration project aiming to position the province and Castilla y León as a reference space for cheese and the sheep sector at national and international level.
